Level Up!Diablo IV First Expansion

Diablo IV has already got a new expansion lined up. For those who don’t know about the hit videogame franchise, Diablo is a dark fantasy adventure RPG where you fight the creatures of darkness and save the world. There is lots of grinding, powering up, and getting new and much more betterer gear, but the story is great and the world is highly immersive. This year in June the latest expansion “Diablo IV” came out and was a near-instant success. Millions were playing even on the first early release day (and I was one of those) and though there were some bugs, the game held together. Fun was had. But news trickled out that they were going to be doing a new expansion every year and I straight up scoffed at that. It had taken 2 years for the first expansion of Diablo 3 (Reaper of Souls) to hit and then 3 years for the second (Rise of the Necromancer). Though Diablo II’s expansion was a year or so…so maybe. Yeah. Anyways. We were told this is what they were going to do and it looks like they might be able to pull it off. They have two teams working together for new content. One for seasonal, one for expansions to the game itself.

Go watch the promo video for Vessel of Hatred (I’ll wait). Okay? Done. Cool. It’s promising a new place to explore (Nahantu), new enemies, and a brand-new never before seen in the series class to play. All due in end of year 2024.

Of course, we got a peek at new weekly challenges for players in Season 3, some reoccurring holiday themes, new end-game content for season 2, and they are bringing back some stuff from Season 1 to play with in Season 2. All very exciting. On the boring end they are doing some pretty big quality of life changes when it comes to enchanting gear.
