Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
We reserve the right to revise, amend, or modify these Terms and our other policies at any time and in any manner.
1. Overview and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of and access to www.haptic.gg and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Haptic, LLC ("Haptic," "we," "us," or "our"). Haptic provides online game server hosting for multiplayer games on a subscription basis.
By accessing, using, viewing, creating an account, or making a purchase on the Service, you ("customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
This agreement is intended to be governed by the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act). By accepting these Terms electronically, you acknowledge that electronic acceptance has the same legal effect as a physical signature.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your account before the effective date.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
By using the Service, you represent that you satisfy all of the following eligibility conditions:
- You are at least 13 years of age and meet the minimum age of digital consent in your country.
- If you are the age of majority in your jurisdiction or over, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
- If you are between 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent, as applicable) and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
A parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on behalf of a minor will be primarily liable for ensuring complete compliance with these Terms, including any payment obligations. This liability continues even after the minor reaches the age of majority, unless Haptic provides express written consent to the contrary.
If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
The Service is not directed at children under 13. Haptic does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will promptly terminate their account and delete their personal information.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use the Service, you must register for an account by providing a valid email address and password. You agree that all registration information you provide will be accurate, complete, and current at all times.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You may not assign, sell, or share your account credentials with any third party. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account, you must notify Haptic immediately via Discord.
Haptic is not liable for any losses arising from unauthorized use of your account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.
4. License Grant and Restrictions
Subject to these Terms, Haptic grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your personal or internal business purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service or any part thereof, unless expressly permitted by law.
- Assign, sublicense, or transfer your rights to use the Service to any third party.
- Reproduce, duplicate, sell, resell, trade, or exploit the Service, in whole or in part, for any purpose that competes with Haptic.
- Access or attempt to access the Service through any automated means, including bots, scrapers, or crawlers, unless specifically authorized by Haptic in writing.
This license terminates immediately upon violation of these Terms or termination of your account.
5. Service Term and Auto-Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You will be charged the then-current rate at the start of each renewal period. You may cancel at any time through your Haptic dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to your server until that date.
Subscriptions renew on a monthly basis (or the billing cycle selected at checkout) unless you cancel before the renewal date. There is no minimum purchase obligation beyond the current billing period.
An acknowledgment of these auto-renewal terms, including cancellation instructions, is provided at checkout and via email confirmation.
6. Payments and Billing
All fees are payable in advance and processed through Stripe. By providing a payment method, you authorize Haptic to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for all applicable fees. Haptic does not store or have access to your full credit card number.
You are responsible for keeping your billing information current. Haptic is not liable for failed charges due to outdated payment information. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).
Subscription changes (such as upgrading or downgrading memory) will apply proration discounts when appropriate.
Haptic may suspend the Service without notice if payment is overdue. Fees not disputed within 60 days of the charge date are conclusively deemed accurate. You agree to pay Haptic's reasonable costs of collection for overdue amounts, including collection agency fees and attorney fees where applicable.
7. Fee Changes
Haptic may adjust its pricing for the Service. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next renewal term. We will notify you via email at least 30 days before the new pricing takes effect, including the new price and how to cancel if you do not wish to continue.
Continued use of the Service after the new pricing takes effect constitutes acceptance. You may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect at no penalty.
8. Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable sales tax, value-added tax (VAT), or similar taxes imposed on the Service, excluding taxes based on Haptic's net income. If Haptic is required to collect such taxes, they will be added to your invoice.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel any of your servers at any time through your Haptic dashboard. Cancellation stops billing at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your server until that date. A server in a cancellation state may be reactivated before the billing period ends.
Upon cancellation, Haptic retains your game world backup data for up to 6 months to allow you to reactivate and restore your world. After 6 months, world data may be permanently deleted without further notice.
New customers who are unsatisfied with Haptic may request a refund by contacting us through Discord. Refunds are not guaranteed for accounts that have violated these Terms.
10. Suspension and Termination
Suspension or Termination by Haptic
Haptic may suspend or terminate your access to the Service without prior notice and without liability if:
- You violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
- You fail to cooperate with any reasonable investigation of a suspected violation.
- Suspension is necessary to protect Haptic's network or other customers.
- Required by a law enforcement or regulatory agency.
- There is an attack on the Service or unauthorized third-party access to your account.
Haptic may terminate with notice if:
- Your payment is overdue for more than 10 days.
- You materially violate any provision of these Terms and fail to cure the violation within 30 days of written notice.
- Your service is used in violation of the Acceptable Use Policy more than once.
Termination by Customer
You may terminate these Terms if Haptic materially fails to provide the Service in accordance with these Terms and does not cure the failure within 10 days of your written notice describing the failure in reasonable detail.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. No refund of fees already paid will be issued except as required by applicable law. The following sections survive termination: Intellectual Property, Data and Backups, Disclaimer of Warranties, Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and General Provisions.
11. Acceptable Use Policy

Haptic may terminate your account immediately and without refund for violations of this Acceptable Use Policy. Haptic reserves discretion on enforcement and is not obligated to monitor content proactively.
12. Intellectual Property
Haptic's Intellectual Property
Haptic owns all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the platform, website, software, branding, and any intellectual property therein. You may not remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary rights notices (including copyright and trademark notices) contained within the Service. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Haptic's trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos, or other brand features.
Your Content
You retain ownership of your game world files, server configurations, and any content you create or upload to the Service (to the extent you own it). Haptic claims no ownership of your content.
By using the Service, you grant Haptic a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, back up, transmit, and display your content solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account is terminated, subject to the data retention periods described in these Terms.
13. Data, Backups, and Storage
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. You are solely responsible for your data and game world files. You agree to take full responsibility for all files and data stored on Haptic's servers and to maintain all appropriate backups.
Haptic provides automated world backups as a convenience. These backup services are provided with no warranty or guarantee of their completeness, accuracy, availability, or integrity. Haptic is not responsible for data loss from any cause, including but not limited to service outages, hardware failure, software errors, user error, or security breaches.
Upon cancellation or termination, Haptic retains game world backup data for up to 6 months to allow you to reactivate and restore your world. After 6 months, world data may be permanently deleted without further notice.
Haptic may remove files unrelated to your game server (such as videos, audio, or other non-game files) or excessively large files created by third-party backup plugins that impact storage.
14. Copyright Policy (DMCA)
Haptic respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. You must not host content that infringes copyright, including pirated mods, maps, plugins, or game files.
Haptic will respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 USC 512). Haptic may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
To submit a copyright infringement notice, contact Haptic via Discord with the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is infringing and its location on the Service.
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
If your content was removed and you believe it was in error, you may submit a counter-notification via Discord containing your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal courts in Oregon.
15. Third-Party Services and Game Licenses
The Service may use or integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication), Cloudflare (networking), and Backblaze (storage). Your use of these third-party services may be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Haptic is not responsible for the practices of any third-party service.
Any purchase of a server through Haptic is not a sale of any game license, including but not limited to Minecraft, Valheim, Terraria, Palworld, or any other supported title. You must own valid licenses for the games you host on Haptic. Connecting to our Service with any unlicensed or pirated game is a violation of these Terms.
Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang.
16. Electronic Communications Consent
By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from Haptic electronically, including via email and in-app notifications. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
You may withdraw this consent by closing your account, but doing so may prevent you from using the Service. You are responsible for maintaining a valid and current email address on your account.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Haptic expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Haptic does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or completely secure. Data communication via the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be available at all times without error at the current state of technology. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from Haptic shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
Haptic undergoes regular maintenance for the reliability of its services. For this purpose, Haptic may temporarily disable, limit, or degrade the Service. Maintenance will be carried out during off-peak hours whenever possible.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Haptic, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all third-party claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to: your use or misuse of the Service; your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; content hosted on, transmitted through, or uploaded to your servers; or any person using your account, whether authorized or not.
19. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Haptic be liable for any lost profits, lost data, or any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of the theory of liability (including contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), even if Haptic has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Haptic's maximum aggregate liability for all claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Haptic during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The limitations in this section do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
You are solely responsible for interactions with end users of your game server. You acknowledge that damages could have been avoided by the use of reasonable diligence.
20. Network and Infrastructure Changes
Haptic reserves the right to change its infrastructure, including hardware, software, hosting providers, regions, and network configurations. Such changes may temporarily affect server performance or availability. Haptic will use commercially reasonable efforts to minimize disruption and shall not be liable for any resulting impact on your hosted content or applications.
21. Force Majeure
Haptic shall not be in default of any obligation under these Terms if the failure to perform is due to any event beyond Haptic's reasonable control, including but not limited to: significant failure of a portion of the power grid, significant failure of the Internet, natural disaster, war, riot, insurrection, epidemic, pandemic, strikes or other organized labor action, terrorist activity, or other events of a magnitude or type for which precautions are not generally taken in the industry.
22. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions, and the laws of the United States of America, as applicable. Exclusive venue for all disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be the state and federal courts located in Oregon, and each party agrees to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waives all objections thereto.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Haptic may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights or to prevent irreparable harm.
23. Notices
Notices to Haptic under these Terms shall be given via Discord. Notices to you shall be given via email to the address associated with your account. Notices are deemed received on the day transmitted. You may update your email address through your dashboard.
24. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Haptic and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be removed without affecting the rest of these Terms. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver. If Haptic does not exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms, this will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. Those rights and remedies will remain available to Haptic.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights hereunder without Haptic's prior written consent. Any unauthorized assignment is void. Haptic may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of its assets.
- Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
- Survival. Sections on Intellectual Property, Data and Backups, Disclaimer of Warranties, Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and these General Provisions survive termination of these Terms.
25. Privacy Policy
By registering with Haptic and using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consented to Haptic's Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information.
