I have assembled these fine random facts about our currently supported games (Minecraft, Terraria, and Valheim). You probably know some of them if you play the game pretty regularly, but maybe you don’t. Check it out!
1. Minecraft Versions: There are two main versions still being updated: Minecraft Java, the original, and Minecraft Bedrock. (I like the Java version.)
2. Multiple Game Modes: Players can choose between various modes like survival, creative, adventure, hardcore, and spectator modes, each offering different gameplay experiences. Also, Telltale Games did a story mode as well (which was pretty fun).
3. Music: The game's music, which has become iconic in its own right, was produced by Daniel Rosenfeld.
4. Awards: Minecraft has won several awards, including the Best Independent Game in 2011 and the Best Family and Social Game in 2015.
5. Netflix Show: Minecraft has expanded into other media, including an interactive show on Netflix.
1. Biome Keys: In the PC version, biome key molds were replaced with the actual keys, while console and mobile versions retained the molds.
2. Rocket Boots: They originally used mana for power and could allow indefinite flight if the player kept using mana potions.
3. Meowmere Weapon: This whimsically named weapon used to deal a hefty 300 damage. You can also buy a replica!
4. Sprite Sharing: The Enchanted Sword enemy uses the same sprite as the Excalibur sword.
5. Slime Staff Drop: The Pinky slime has a rare 1/1000 chance to drop a Slime Staff in normal mode.
1. Steam Launch: Valheim was one of the top launches on Steam in February, indicating its rapid rise in popularity.
2. Player Base: A little over 6 million people have played and/or are playing Valheim, highlighting its wide-reaching audience.
3. Content Updates: The influx of players has been a double-edged sword, leading to a delay in new content as developers adjust to the increased attention. We’ve gotten a few updates (Mistlands and Hildir’s Quest being the major ones).
4. Creative Builds: The game's creative potential is showcased by players, one of whom built a large and detailed replica of the Eiffel Tower using over 40,000 wood blocks.
5. Community Initiatives: A group of players formed the "Body Recovery Squad" to assist others in recovering items lost upon character death.
