New featureFactorio maps match the real game again, plus big DayZ fixes
Factorio map presets match the real game again and Space Age keeps your saves, plus major fixes for DayZ, Terraria and Hytale, and world uploads no longer erase your mods and configs.
Factorio map generation matches the real game again
Factorio's map presets, including Lakes and Island, now match the actual game, and Enemy Expansion settings do what they say. Turning Space Age on or off for an existing world now keeps your save intact too.
Better than before
Palworld guild auto-reset setting explains itself better
The guild auto-reset setting now clearly states that it clears bases of players who've stopped playing, and that the countdown is based on each player's last time online, not when the server last restarted.
New Building Cost setting for Dragonwilds
You can now adjust Building Cost right from your server's Details tab, and it works for every player including those on console. Mods that only unlock this option in the in-game menu now clearly explain that console players need the change applied from a PC copy of the game.
Minecraft Java settings now match the latest game versions
Animal and Villager Spawning switches are now greyed out on versions where Minecraft removed them, so you're not left toggling settings that no longer do anything. PvP, Allow Nether, Command Blocks and Monster Spawning now apply correctly as game rules on newer versions.
Hytale world uploads are smarter about empty files and save folders
Uploading an empty zip file now gets caught and explained before it even uploads, for every game. For Hytale specifically, dropping your whole save folder now brings your world across completely, including your Memories.
Links to haptic.gg in support chat are now clickable
When support chat mentions a haptic.gg page, it now shows up as a real clickable link instead of plain text.
Easier way for friends to join your Haptic account
Invited friends now get a simple join page where they can sign in with Google, Discord or a password, replacing the old one-hour recovery link that often expired before they could use it.
33 bugs squashed
DayZFixes: 5
- DayZ only connects by IP address, not hostname, so your server card, public page, Discord integration and Steam Join link now always show the live IP and port, making it easier for players to actually connect.
- Join instructions for DayZ and similar games now correctly tell you to use Direct Connect or the add-server screen instead of pointing you to an in-game server list that doesn't exist for these games.
- Vanilla Chernarus and Livonia servers were incorrectly listing the Sakhal DLC as required, so players without it couldn't join, and Sakhal-map servers could fail to boot entirely. Both are now fixed.
- Gameplay settings you set on the dashboard now write into DayZ's own mission file, so they take effect and your other manual edits to that file are kept. Night Lighting now defaults to the bright nights DayZ ships with instead of a setting that was never actually applied.
- The DayZDefaults preset now starts on Bright lighting, matching how DayZ normally loads.
FactorioFixes: 8
- New Factorio worlds now generate with the game's normal cliff frequency instead of a setting that was quadrupling cliffs on default maps. Existing worlds aren't touched.
- Setting Factorio's max players to 0 now correctly shows "no player limit" everywhere, instead of a scary over capacity warning.
- If Factorio mod search can't reach the mod portal, the Mods card now tells you clearly and shows how to install mods by hand instead of pretending everything is fine.
- Turning Space Age on or off for an existing Factorio world now keeps your save intact instead of wiping planets, items and research.
- The Autosave Interval tip now correctly says a crashed Factorio server picks up from its newest autosave instead of losing progress.
- When a Factorio world was saved on a different version, the dashboard now shows it as something you can fix yourself instead of a scary crash message.
- Fixed a connection issue that could keep players from joining, and startup problems like bad settings or unreadable saves now show a message you can actually act on instead of a generic failure.
- If your server crashes, it now picks up from the most recent autosave instead of an older one, so the Autosave Interval setting actually protects your progress.
HytaleFixes: 3
- Hytale servers now size their memory based on your whole plan including the free boost, so that extra headroom is actually usable instead of going to waste under load.
- When a mod built for an older Hytale version crashes your server, Hytale now names the mod responsible instead of leaving you guessing. This also catches cases where an uploaded mod conflicts with one already installed through the Mods card.
- Importing a Hytale save folder (the one the launcher's Open Folder shows) now works even when the world sits a folder deeper than expected, and empty uploads now get a clear error instead of failing silently.
MinecraftFixes: 2
- Uploading a new world used to erase config files, identity files, and your mod folders for several games including Minecraft, Satisfactory, Project Zomboid, 7 Days to Die, Enshrouded, Hytale, Core Keeper and Valheim. Uploads now keep all of that in place.
- Command blocks now correctly apply on Minecraft 1.21.9 and up, and saving dashboard settings on affected servers now properly records the change.
Minecraft JavaFixes: 1
- On newer Minecraft Java versions (1.21.9+), these settings had stopped doing anything because the game moved them from server properties into world rules. They now take effect properly again.
PalworldFixes: 1
- If a Palworld mod crashes a running server, the crash banner now says a mod caused it instead of showing a generic server crash message.
Project ZomboidFixes: 1
- If your world's map files moved to the newer bundled format while a manual backup was running, the backup could finish successfully without actually including your map. Backups now catch and include files that appear mid-copy.
RustFixes: 1
- Rust servers now count players using the game's own player list in addition to Steam sessions, so scheduled and update restarts no longer mistake a busy server for an empty one.
TerrariaFixes: 2
- We fixed an issue where your Terraria server could get stuck on an older tModLoader build, causing a version mismatch when players tried to join. Pasted Workshop mod links, including ones with newer updates, now install correctly as well.
- Scheduled restarts now move your Terraria server onto the newest stable tModLoader release automatically, the same way a manual start already does, so your mods and players stay in sync with Steam's release.
ValheimFixes: 1
- Servers with crossplay enabled could only be joined through their PlayFab connection; that path now works correctly.
AccountFixes: 1
- The screens that try to fix a problem before you cancel used to show a reason already picked, which could record feedback you never chose. Now nothing is selected until you tap it, and we'll say so if nobody has ever actually joined your server.
BackupsFixes: 1
- A brief hiccup checking on an in-progress install could mark files that were still installing fine as failed. That poll now retries instead of giving up early.
CheckoutFixes: 1
- In some cases the welcome screen after checkout didn't notice your server and account were ready, leaving you waiting the full 45 seconds before moving on. It now reliably picks up when setup is complete.
DashboardFixes: 1
- After certain file uploads, the power up and wake button could stay greyed out until you reloaded the page. It now updates correctly on its own.
EmailFixes: 1
- The invite-your-friends graphic in our emails used to show sample player names that didn't mean anything. It now shows blank avatars instead.
ModsFixes: 2
- If a brief connection issue kept your server from loading its mod list, it could start without them. Haptic now retries and refuses to boot a modded server bare, asking you to try again instead.
- If you shared a server with friends, the restart indicator couldn't show them which mods were actually installed, sometimes making every running mod look like it was about to be removed. Friends now see the correct installed mod list.
Server managementFixes: 1
- A short connection blip used to block Start or Restart with a "try again shortly" error even though nothing was wrong. We now retry automatically so a momentary hiccup doesn't get in your way.
