Frequently Asked Questions

General

Yes!We built Haptic with swapping games in mind. You can start with Valheim server hosting and switch over to Minecraft server hosting with the same subscription plan. Or even swap multiple worlds of the same game. It's up to you!

Your server spins up immediately after logging in to Haptic. You can start playing with your friends right away.

Yes, just bring over your world file, upload it when you craft a game with us, and continue playing with your friends without missing a beat. You can also start fresh with a new world. It's up to you!

Wake & Play is a feature that allows you to sleep your server when you're not playing and wake it up when you're ready to play. It's a great way to save on hosting costs.

Yes, you can invite friends to manage your server. They get their own Haptic account and can manage your just one server, multiple servers, or your entire account.

Subscription

We accept all major credit and debit cards, along with popular payment options like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay, Link, and Amazon Pay. Your transactions are securely processed through Stripe—your payment information is never stored on our servers.

Of course.

Yes, you can change your subscription plan at any time. If you plan on hosting more friends or work your way up to needing a community server, you can upgrade your plan to a more powerful server. If you find you don't need as much power, you can downgrade your plan as well.

Yes, we use Stripe to handle payments, so you can send your friends a secure link where they can contribute to your server costs.

Yes, on any plan that has 4GB or more of memory, you can run multiple servers at the same time.

Some games — like Windrose, Enshrouded, and Icarus — need extra memory to run reliably on our infrastructure. Rather than charging you more, Haptic automatically adds bonus memory to those servers at no cost. Your plan stays exactly what you signed up for; the boost is our cost to handle. The exact bonus depends on the game and is shown on your server.

Your server is paused and your world is safely backed up. You can renew anytime to pick up right where you left off — nothing is lost.

Gaming

We support Hytale, Minecraft (Java & Bedrock), Valheim, Terraria, Palworld, Satisfactory, FiveM, and more. We're adding new games all the time. Have a game we don't support? Let us know in our  Discord!

We don't limit the number of players you can invite to your server. Keep in mind that more players require more resources, so choose a plan that fits your needs and invite as many friends as you want!

Yes, we designed Haptic to work anywhere you are so you can create new worlds, swap out your games, and manage your server straight from your phone, tablet, or computer.

Haptic fully supports one-click mods for your servers. And if we don't support the mod you want, search for it in our mod search engine, request it, and we'll add it to our library. If you have questions, join our  Discord community, where you can ask questions and talk directly with our developers.

Yes! You can view your server logs in the Haptic dashboard. We have a dedicated console for your server where you can view your logs or send commands to your server.

Yes. On any Minecraft Java server, flip the “Bedrock crossplay” toggle in the Overview card. Haptic switches your server to the Paper mod loader and auto-installs Geyser and Floodgate, so players on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and Windows 10 can join the same world as your Java friends. We'll also surface a Bedrock-specific connection address (host + UDP port) right next to the Java address so it's easy to share.

Server Management

After creating your server, the connection address is displayed in your Haptic dashboard. Copy the address and paste it into your game's server browser or direct connect option. Share the address with friends so they can join too.

First, make sure your server has at least 2GB of memory allocated. Then check your installed mods for compatibility issues — try disabling recently added mods. You can also check the server console in the dashboard for error messages. If the issue persists, reach out on our Discord and we'll help you troubleshoot.

Haptic offers one-click mod installation right from your dashboard. Browse our mod library, click install on any mod you want, and restart your server. All mods are tested and signed for compatibility before being made available.

Haptic creates automatic backups of your world. You can also manually download your world file from the dashboard at any time, or upload an existing world file when creating a new server to continue where you left off.

Haptic offers servers in multiple regions. During setup, choose the region closest to you and your friends for the lowest latency and best gameplay experience.

Access your server configuration directly from the Haptic dashboard. Depending on the game, you can change settings like difficulty, player limits, game rules, world seed, and more — all without touching config files.

Other

Every Haptic server you create has its own stable IP address and Port. However, you can set a custom hostname for your server too. This is useful if you don't want to remember the IP:Port and instead can connect to your server using a memorable address like myserver.myname.haptic.game

Public gameserver pages are dedicated webpages for each of your servers. You can turn them on or off and customize what details are shown. Each page has its own URL like myserver.haptic.gs (gs for gameserver). When your friends visit the page, they'll see read-only details about your server like the server address, who's online, and more.

Yes, you can enable cross-play for the games that support it.

Absolutely! If you can't find the answer you're looking for on our  support page don't worry—we've got you covered. Join our  Discord community, where you can ask questions and talk directly with our developers!
