Up to 16, the most an Enshrouded dedicated server allows. Set Max Players anywhere from 1 to 16 in the dashboard. One slot is always kept free for the Admin role, so you can get in even when the server is full.

Enshrouded servers on Haptic start at 3GB, which is enough for a new world and a couple of friends. For a regular group we recommend 5GB, and every Enshrouded plan also gets 1GB of extra headroom on top of what you pay for. Add memory any time from the dashboard as your world grows.

Join with the Admin password. Enshrouded has no admin list: the password a player types when joining sets their role. Your Admin, Friend, and Guest passwords are in your server settings, and the Copy join details button shares the Friend and Guest passwords but never the Admin one.

Yes. Choose the Default, Relaxed, Hard, or Survival preset, or pick Custom to set each option yourself, from enemy damage and density to day length and the death penalty. The server applies the change at its next restart.

Yes. Upload the world from your Saved Games folder in the dashboard. With Enshrouded 1.0 that is the world's one file, named like world0.ksd, in Saved Games\keen games\Enshrouded\default. A world from before 1.0, in Saved Games\Enshrouded as a file named with 8 letters and numbers such as 3ad85aea plus the files that start with the same name, works too, and the server converts it. We install it as the world a dedicated server loads, so you can bring any of your single-player worlds. Characters stay on each player's PC and come with them to any server.

Yes. Enshrouded saves the world about every 30 seconds, and Haptic shuts it down the graceful way, so it writes one last save whenever the server stops, restarts, or goes to sleep. The game's own copies only reach back about 5 minutes; automatic backups keep earlier copies of the world you can restore with one click.

Yes. Enshrouded has no official mod support, but most community mods use the Enshrouded Mod Loader (EML), and Haptic runs it for you: upload each mod's folder into the mods folder with the file manager or SFTP and restart, and the Console lists what loaded. A mod can stop working until its author updates it, because many were made before Enshrouded 1.0. Most mods change game data on the server; a mod's page says if players need it too. Every server also has full file access and SFTP for its config and saves.

Not yet. Haptic's Enshrouded servers are for the PC (Steam) version today. PlayStation 5 support is coming: Enshrouded 1.0 lets PS5 players join dedicated servers through Keen Games' own online service, and we're setting Haptic up with Keen for it. We'll announce it when PS5 groups can join. PC and PS5 players can't share one server at 1.0, because the game has no crossplay yet. Xbox follows in spring 2027.

Enshrouded 1.0 came out on October 15, 2026, as an update to the same game. Your Haptic server moves to the newest build by itself once nobody is on it, or right away when you restart it, and your world and its backups stay with you. The first time the 1.0 server loads a world from before 1.0, the game converts it to its new save format. Want a fresh start? Reset the world from the dashboard, and your earlier backups stay restorable.

Yes, that is what Wake & Play does. Your Enshrouded server goes to sleep about an hour after the last player leaves and wakes again from the dashboard or a shared wake link, so you are not paying for a world that is sitting empty overnight. If you would rather it never sleep, choose Always On.
