Necesse server hosting, done properly

A dedicated Necesse server for your crew, so the settlement you built together, the settlers you took in and the next boss you are gearing up for are all waiting whether or not the host is online. Every server and world setting is in the dashboard, Steam Workshop mods go on from the Mods card, and the Admins tab keeps your owners, admins, moderators and bans. Friends join with the address on your server card.

Hardware built for Necesse

Necesse is heavy on single-thread performance, so we run it on top-tier AMD Ryzen 9 processors, including the flagship 9950X, with NVMe storage.

Steam Workshop supported

Paste a Steam Workshop URL in the dashboard. We fetch the item, verify it, and install it on your server. Per-mod progress shows in the console while the server boots, like Installing X (12/30).

Your settlement, without a host

On a dedicated server the world does not wait for one player to start the game: anyone in your crew can log in, tend the farms, put the settlers to work and pick up the adventure where everyone left off. Up to 10 players by default, and Max Players goes as high as 250.

Every setting in the dashboard

Difficulty from Casual to Brutal, what you lose when you die, how often raids come, Forced PvP, hunger, settler limits and the length of day and night are all fields in your dashboard. Haptic writes them into the game at every start, so nothing gets lost in a config file.

Owners, admins and bans by Steam ID

The Admins tab gives your friends Owner, Full Admin or Moderator by Steam ID and keeps the server's ban list. A ban reaches a running server at once.

Unlimited backups you can actually restore

Automatic daily backups plus event backups around risky changes, with one-click restore. Bring an existing Necesse save with you: upload your world as the world's .zip from your own game or another host and keep playing where you left off.

Full file accessBeta

A real file manager in the browser and SFTP for everything else. Edit configs, drop in mod files, or pull a copy of your save down whenever you want it.

Necesse tonight, something else next week

Your memory is a pool, not a Necesse-only rental. Swap this server to another game whenever you like, or run several games at once. One subscription covers all of it.

If you're looking for the best Necesse server provider, we recommend you try Haptic. Our servers have quality Ryzen 9 hardware, DDoS protection, and support in chat on our site or on Discord.

In Necesse, open Multiplayer, then Join server, and add your server with the numeric IP address and port shown on your server card, for example 203.0.113.10:33001. If you set a server password, friends type it when they join.

Necesse servers on Haptic are for the PC version of the game on Steam.

Up to 10 by default, and you can set Max Players anywhere from 1 to 250, the game's own limit. A big settlement with many players uses more memory, so choose a larger plan for a busy server.

Add your Steam ID as Owner on the Admins tab of your server, and Haptic gives you that role when you join. Full Admin and Moderator work the same way, and a ban on the tab reaches a running server at once.

Yes. Add Steam Workshop mods on your server's Mods card. Each Workshop mod is tested on a real Necesse server before it can reach yours. You can also upload your own .jar mods into the necesse/mods folder with the file manager or SFTP. Everyone who joins needs the same mods.

Necesse saves the world on its own while the server runs, and Haptic has it save again before every stop and restart. Haptic also backs up your world automatically, and you can restore any backup with one click.

Yes. Wake & Play is the cheaper plan. Your server sleeps when everyone has left, and you wake it from your dashboard before you play, with the world as you left it. Always On costs more and never sleeps.

Yes. Quit the world to the main menu, then upload its .zip from %APPDATA%\Necesse\saves\worlds with Upload World on your server's Backups card. Your server switches to that world, and any world of the same name on the server is backed up first.

Necesse servers on Haptic start at 2GB, and 4GB is the recommended size for a group with a growing settlement. You can change memory from the dashboard at any time without moving your world.
