New featureWorld uploads are far more reliable across every game
World uploads across every supported game now load your actual save, with clearer errors, 10GB file support, and a way to pick among multiple worlds found in one upload.
One new-world window for starting a fresh world on any game
Starting a new world now works the same way everywhere: pick a seed (or leave it blank for random), set the game's other world options, and choose whether to start the server right away. No more hunting for a hidden seed box or guessing how your game handles new worlds.
Better than before
Mods card now tells you plainly when a mod isn't loading
When the game itself skips a mod at startup, your Mods card now shows a clear red notice with the reason in plain words, plus quick options to find a replacement, remove it, or keep it and wait. A matching notice also shows up right on your server card so you don't have to dig for it.
Boot notices now show up on your server card
Notices like "Soft reset finished" now appear right on your server card instead of staying hidden.
Settings that failed to apply now tell you exactly why
When a change you made doesn't take effect, your server card now explains what happened in plain language right where the setting lives, instead of a generic error banner. Tap it to jump straight to the setting that needs attention.
Setting changes now apply even after a game update changes its options
If a game update changed where a setting lives before your change could be applied, it used to just fail. Now it applies anyway as long as the setting is still valid, instead of getting stuck.
Notices on phone now open as a full sheet
On phones, tapping your server's notices now opens a clean sheet from the bottom of the screen showing every notice in full, with its actions as clear buttons, instead of a cramped drawer that could cut off content.
Pick which parts of a Project Zomboid mod you actually want
Some Workshop mods bundle several optional pieces, like alternate skins or textures. You can now choose exactly which parts load instead of getting a fixed bundle, and turning a part off actually turns it off.
26 more improvements
- Empty servers update to the latest game patch automatically: Servers that sit empty for a while now restart onto the newest game version on their own, instead of waiting for a player to trigger it. This keeps fixes and patches reaching your server much faster.
- Project Zomboid mods that need a Java helper now actually work: Some popular Project Zomboid mods (like True Weathers, Viewpoint's ballistics, Rolling Hills Physics, Size Matters and Living NPC) rely on a Java add-on called ZombieBuddy to run their extra features. Servers with those mods installed now start that add-on automatically, so the features actually load.
- Smarter file picking and packing for world uploads: Uploading a world now offers the right file or folder picker for your game, packs loose save files correctly instead of refusing them, and gives clearer guidance when something isn't ready to upload.
- Upload your RuneScape: Dragonwilds world: You can now upload a RuneScape: Dragonwilds save and have your server load the right world instead of starting fresh.
- Upload your Astroneer world: You can now bring an existing Astroneer save onto your server by uploading a .savegame file or your whole SaveGames folder.
- World uploads now support files up to 10 GB: You can now upload worlds as large as 10 GB. If your connection drops mid-upload, only the current part needs to resend instead of starting the whole file over.
- DayZ now supports the Badlands DLC map: Nasdara, the map from DayZ's Badlands expansion, is now available to select in the Map list, along with its own Night Lighting option. Note that every player needs the paid Badlands DLC to join a Nasdara server.
- Check your world upload before you send it: The upload screen can now tell you ahead of time whether your world file looks good, needs a fix, or can't be checked, so you're not left guessing after a long upload.
- Uploaded Satisfactory saves now flag missing mods or custom maps: If you upload a Satisfactory save that was made with mods or a custom map mod, we now let you know which ones are needed so you can install them and keep everything your save depends on.
- Icarus can now restore your world from its automatic backups: If your Icarus save gets damaged or goes missing, your server now automatically restores it from the newest automatic backup instead of leaving you without a world. Uploads missing a prospect now also explain exactly what they contain.
- Factorio now accepts saves packed as 7z, RAR or TAR: Factorio world uploads now work when packed as 7z, RAR or TAR, not just zip. Damaged or cut-short saves are caught and refused before they can replace your world, and the too-new version warning now names the build your server actually last ran.
- Uploads with only settings, mods or logs now explain what they contain: If you upload a file that turns out to hold only old settings, mods or logs instead of a world, Haptic now tells you exactly what it found and where it belongs on your dashboard, for Satisfactory, Icarus, Enshrouded, V Rising, Core Keeper and HumanitZ.
- Pick a different world after upload if more than one was found: If your upload contains several worlds, we no longer force the one we picked. You can now choose "use this world instead" to switch to another one found in the same upload, without re-uploading anything.
- Clearer status cues across your dashboard: We replaced small colored dots with text, color, or icons that match the rest of the screen, including the settings tab, the what's new bell, and your account activity list.
- Upload review step now names your world clearly: The review step, its button, and the add-server panel now describe your uploaded world the same way the world picker does, so you see its real name, map size, and seed instead of a raw file name.
- Palworld's Guild Auto Reset Hours now goes up to a full year: You can now set Guild Auto Reset Hours as high as 8760 (a year) instead of being capped at 720. Keep in mind the timer only counts time while your server is actually running.
- Creator program page now shows a waitlist: The creator program page now lets you join a waitlist with your name, email and channel info instead of showing tiers and commission details that weren't live yet.
- Clearer world-load failure messages for five games: 7 Days to Die, Project Zomboid, Conan Exiles, RuneScape: Dragonwilds and Windrose now show you specific guidance when your server fails to start because it can't load your world, instead of generic restart advice.
- Bedrock servers now use NetherNet for connections: All Minecraft Bedrock servers now connect using the game's newer NetherNet transport, matching recent Bedrock app updates so players can keep joining smoothly.
- Edit Minecraft Java game rules right from your dashboard: The Details tab now lets you set rules like Keep Inventory, Mob Griefing, Daylight Cycle and more without touching the console. Leaving a rule unset keeps your world's current behavior, and typing /gamerule in game still works too.
- Your "World before reset" backup now stays until you delete it: Starting a new world saves your old one as a 'World before reset' backup, and now it sticks around for as long as you want instead of aging out automatically.
- "World before reset" backups now include the seed: When you reset your world, the backup Haptic saves beforehand now shows the seed of the old world right in its name, so you can tell your past worlds apart if you've tried a few seeds.
- See the real seed for Core Keeper, Factorio, Terraria and Rust worlds: Your dashboard now shows the actual seed your world is running on for these games, instead of a placeholder.
- Minecraft Bedrock now explains when Game Mode won't change your world: Changing Game Mode on an existing Bedrock world now tells you it won't take effect unless Force Game Mode is also on, with a one-click way to turn that on too.
- Minecraft Java's Generate Structures is now a new-world setting: Generate Structures only applies when a world is created, so changing it now clearly prompts you to start a new world instead of quietly doing nothing on your existing one.
- Rust warns before map seed, world size or type changes swap your map: Changing Map Seed, World Size or Map Type now warns you that it switches your server to a different map at the next restart. Wipe Server's seed options are now clear choices: keep the current seed, go random, or type your own, with better handling when the new seed fails to save.
97 bugs squashed
7 Days to DieFixes: 3
- Uploaded saves now get matched to the correct map by the terrain under your base, instead of silently defaulting to Navezgane. Uploads that aren't an actual save or map get refused with a clear reason.
- A dropped or failed connection used to leave a 7 Days to Die server stuck looking occupied, delaying sleep for hours. It now reconnects on its own so your server's status stays current.
- Since 7 Days to Die names its map after the seed and size, changing World Size used to quietly switch maps without warning. The save popup now clearly offers Start New World when needed, and its buttons fit properly on phones too.
Conan ExilesFixes: 3
- Older Conan Exiles saves, including pre-Enhanced worlds, now import properly and land in the right place instead of failing or loading the wrong map.
- World uploads could sometimes load an older backup instead of your server's latest progress, or miss worlds saved under a different file name. Uploads now correctly find and import the most current version of your world.
- Players who took longer to load into a Conan Exiles map could vanish from your dashboard even while connected. They now stay listed through a slow load.
Core KeeperFixes: 2
- Uploads no longer get confused by backup copies sitting alongside your world, and renamed or unusual save files are now found correctly.
- Uploading a world now carries over that world's own cartography map instead of leaving the previous server's map in place, and uploads with no world say exactly what they hold.
DayZFixes: 6
- DayZ's latest update needed more memory headroom than we were giving 4GB plans, which could crash the server moments after opening to players. We've increased the extra memory boost so this no longer happens.
- When a DayZ server was shut down for running low on memory, the crash notice used to point at mods or the world save. It now correctly tells you it's a memory issue.
- DayZ uploads could sometimes load a stock template or an empty mission instead of the one you actually play on. Uploads now correctly find and import your live mission and its saved world.
- Uploading a new DayZ world used to wipe out any other maps you had set up on the server. Switching maps now keeps your other missions intact, and you'll see a note explaining the change and how to switch back.
- Each DayZ map now starts with its own night lighting and personal light setting instead of defaulting to Chernarus' settings. Nasdara and Sakhal servers no longer need manual fixes to match their map's intended nights.
- DayZ servers could show nobody online even with players connected, which risked restarts or sleep at the wrong time. Player joins and leaves are now read reliably so your server's status matches reality.
Don't Starve TogetherFixes: 3
- Uploads that were missing key save data used to boot a brand-new world with no warning. We now check for a loadable save and tell you if something's missing.
- Uploading just your save files onto a server that never generated a world used to wipe out returning players' characters. That's fixed, so your characters come back with the rest of your world.
- Saves without a Master folder now import correctly, worlds saved before August 2021 import again, and uploads with no usable world explain exactly what they hold. A server you've customized keeps its own world settings, and uploads with two loose worlds let you choose which to use.
EnshroudedFixes: 3
- Uploads with an empty, cut-short or renamed world file are now refused with a clear reason instead of leaving your server online with no world loaded.
- When your upload had multiple saves of the same world, backup copies, or a zipped set of backups, Enshrouded now figures out which one is the real, newest version and loads that instead of guessing wrong.
- An upload with no usable world now tells you specifically what it found instead, like character files, server settings, or mods. When several worlds are found, you get a clear list to choose from.
FactorioFixes: 2
- Saves zipped inside other zips, backup downloads, or odd folder layouts now import correctly, and Factorio uploads confirm whether your save actually loaded.
- A lost or slow connection used to leave Factorio's server status stuck, delaying sleep for busy and idle servers alike. It now reconnects on its own.
FiveMFixes: 5
- Uploaded SQL database exports now install correctly in your server's own database, and files that aren't safe to import get flagged instead of silently applied.
- Your resources, txData, and player database now come along no matter how your server folder is organized, and your old server.cfg is kept as a backup instead of being overwritten.
- Uploading a FiveM server to a RedM server (or the reverse) used to install broken, mismatched files that wouldn't start. It's now refused and tells you what it actually is.
- If your uploaded server's framework core failed to start, for example from a missing dependency, the server used to be marked as successfully loaded anyway. It now waits for the framework core to actually come up before confirming your upload loaded.
- A player who joined a FiveM or RedM server just before it stopped could miss out on the save window used to protect their progress. They're now included.
HytaleFixes: 3
- A world upload without its map, with an empty map, or with map files the game can't read is now refused with a clear reason instead of starting a brand-new map.
- Uploading a Hytale save now tells you which mods and characters didn't come along, flags saves made on a newer game version, and explains when a world can't be loaded at all.
- When Hytale runs out of memory, the message now clearly explains that the game's own memory for the world, players and mods filled up, with the real numbers, instead of a raw Java error.
IcarusFixes: 3
- After uploading a world, Icarus servers sometimes started the old prospect instead of the one you just uploaded. They now start the one you picked.
- Icarus servers now reliably resume your in-progress prospect even after your server moves to a different machine, instead of sitting idle in the lobby.
- Icarus servers could keep showing a departed player as still connected, which threw off your player list and sleep timing. Leaves are now detected reliably so your dashboard and auto-sleep stay in sync.
MinecraftFixes: 3
- When your server's Hardcore setting locks Game mode or Difficulty, uploading your world's settings now tells you plainly that those values were kept because of the Hardcore lock, instead of a generic message.
- If your world is too far ahead for crossplay, you'll now get a clear option to start a new world on the right version instead of getting stuck. On a running server, starting that new world safely stops the server, resets the world, and restarts it for you, letting you know which players will be disconnected.
- Plugins like SuperVanish and PremiumVanish could make a Minecraft Java server look empty to Haptic even with vanished players online, risking an unwanted sleep. That's fixed.
Minecraft BedrockFixes: 4
- Worlds with dots in the name, like "SMP 1.21", now import and load correctly instead of being cut short and replaced with a brand-new world.
- Bedrock uploads now search deep into your zip to find your actual world, match it to the one your server.properties points at, and correctly tell apart copies of the same world.
- Add-ons you install now keep every setting, like a resource pack's chosen texture resolution, instead of losing anything not strictly required.
- Some Bedrock servers weren't answering pings the way Haptic expected, which could leave their status unclear. The visibility setting behind this is now applied consistently to every server.
Minecraft JavaFixes: 5
- Uploaded Java worlds now load the exact folder your save needs, including its own Nether and End, and we refuse saves that can't load instead of letting the game quietly regenerate them.
- Uploads now follow Paper 26.x's world layout, correctly load worlds with non-ASCII names, and give clearer warnings when a world was played with mods your server doesn't have.
- Worlds nested deeper in your upload are now found, a world missing its main save file can fall back to its backup copy, and you'll get a warning before starting a server your game version can't open.
- Operators added without an explicit permission level were being written with no level at all, which Minecraft reads as no commands. Added operators now correctly keep full admin commands.
- Older Minecraft Java servers (below 1.19) were reading world type settings in the wrong format, which could turn a Large Biomes or custom world into a Default one. World type now writes in the spelling your server's version actually understands, so the world you pick is the world you get.
PalworldFixes: 2
- Uploaded Palworld saves now correctly pick the world with your real characters in it instead of an empty one the server generated after losing its settings.
- If your upload is missing your world or your characters, Palworld now tells you specifically what it found instead of a generic error, whether it's an Xbox save, settings files, or mods.
Project ZomboidFixes: 5
- Some Project Zomboid uploads could accidentally load your account database, a client cache, or an old Build 41 save instead of your real world. Uploads are now dated by their actual save files so the right world loads.
- Uploading just your mods folder (instead of a world) now gets a clear message naming the mods and pointing you to your server's Mods card instead of a generic error.
- Admin logs are back in Files, downloads and SFTP, and any whitelist passwords inside them now show as [redacted] instead of blocking the whole file.
- Servers using the Viewpoint Advanced Movement workshop mod now automatically load the server-side piece it needs, so climbs and roof-riding work the way the mod intends.
- A player rejoining Project Zomboid could briefly look disconnected while the world finished loading them in, which could trigger an unwanted sleep. That window is now handled correctly.
RuneScape: DragonwildsFixes: 2
- If your uploaded world's name can't be reused on first start, we now keep your upload safe under its old name instead of letting the game write a fresh world over it.
- An upload that only has backup copies of your world now imports the newest intact one instead of being refused, and an upload with no world tells you exactly what it does contain and where it belongs.
RustFixes: 5
- Uploaded Rust worlds used to boot a fresh map instead of your save. Uploads now set the correct seed, size, and map type so your world loads the way it should.
- Worlds saved deeper in your upload, including from SteamCMD and WindowsGSM setups, now import correctly, and uploads missing a world explain exactly what they found instead.
- When two maps in your world folder have the exact same file date, the note now says so plainly instead of picking one with no explanation.
- A player's very first join after a map wipe, or a kicked player, could go uncounted on your dashboard. Rust's player list now reflects both cases correctly.
- When a wipe server's map seed was set to 0, Rust now correctly keeps the current map seed and keep name instead of losing track of them.
SatisfactoryFixes: 3
- If an uploaded save can't be opened, your server now reports it clearly instead of crash-looping at every startup.
- A save file that got cut off partway through saving is now caught and refused with a clear explanation instead of silently loading a broken world.
- If Satisfactory's player count briefly failed to report, it could be read as zero players and risk an unwanted sleep. That case is now treated as unclear instead of empty.
TerrariaFixes: 8
- Uploading a folder with several worlds no longer grabs whichever one comes first alphabetically. We also catch worlds that got cut short during upload instead of silently loading a broken copy.
- Asking about a mod update now gets answered based on the version your server actually has, instead of just the newest one Steam lists. If a newer build is listed but not yet available for download, your server will move onto it automatically as soon as Steam serves it.
- Uploading a 1.4.5 world to a tModLoader server that can't open it is now caught before it causes problems, and backup and companion files (.wld.bak, .twld) are found and matched correctly no matter their capitalization.
- Uploads with no usable world now explain what was actually found, whether it's a server config, mods, character files, or a half-complete modded world. A renamed world file is now recognized and imported, and your Difficulty setting now travels with your uploaded world.
- When you paste a Terraria Workshop link (single item or collection), any mods it needs are now downloaded and installed with it, so things like Calamity add-ons stop turning themselves off at boot.
- When a Terraria mod fails to load because it needs another mod that isn't installed, the error now tells you exactly which mod to add instead of just saying it couldn't load.
- When a modded Terraria world fails to generate, the crash message now names the mod responsible instead of a generic error, and it correctly refers to your "New World" backup by its current name.
- Leftover, silent connections could make a Terraria server look occupied for days even with nobody playing, blocking scheduled restarts and updates. Those phantom connections no longer count.
V RisingFixes: 1
- Worlds zipped from a Steam Deck or Windows save folder are now found and imported correctly, even next to an old save. Wipe Day no longer wipes a world you just uploaded.
ValheimFixes: 4
- Server-side Valheim mods now run fine with crossplay enabled, so friends on Switch 2 and PS5 can still join you. Only mods that players need to install themselves still require crossplay to be off.
- Uploading your whole Valheim folder or a Haptic backup could previously load a stale or legacy save. Uploads now correctly find and import your current 1.0 world.
- Instead of one generic error, Valheim uploads now say specifically what they found, whether it's character files, a Game Pass save, mod files, or an unfinished world. Newer saves and mod files next to your world now import properly too.
- Crossplay quits could cause Valheim to miscount who's still connected, occasionally dropping an actual player from the list. Player counts now stay accurate through crossplay sessions.
BackupsFixes: 2
- Uploading a world backup no longer gets rejected when it's actually fine. The upload check now understands nested archives, multiple saved worlds, and damaged files the same way the loading process does, so you're told exactly which world will load and when it was saved.
- A backup that stops making progress now ends within minutes rather than continuing to run, which previously could delay other actions on your server for hours.
DashboardFixes: 6
- We fixed several layout issues where mod upload forms, console notices, hostnames, player lists and the Restart/Power down buttons could overlap or spill outside their cards, especially on phones and for games like FiveM, RedM, HumanitZ and 7 Days to Die.
- Upload and setup error messages used to send you to pages your dashboard doesn't have. They now name the actual card and tab where you'll find the setting, file, or backup you need.
- When a world fails to load for a reason you can fix yourself, like a corrupt save or a missing add-on, the dashboard now shows just that specific fix instead of also piling on generic restart and backup advice.
- This nudge used to show up for servers that were simply idling near their memory limit without any real trouble. It now only appears when there's actual evidence your server is running short on memory.
- Fixed intermittent loading errors on these dashboard pages so they open smoothly every time.
- Reading back a world's seed after it first starts no longer makes the dashboard think it's a brand new world.
DiscordFixes: 1
- Pressing Wake from Discord or a friend's wake link while your server was still shutting down used to get lost, leaving it off. Now it waits for the stop to finish and then starts your server.
FilesFixes: 1
- Files placed in the wrong spot while your server was off used to sit in storage and never make it in, with no warning. Now those uploads are caught and rejected instead of silently disappearing, and starting your server restores your world correctly.
ModsFixes: 3
- The little red triangle on a failed mod used to show no explanation when you hovered or tapped it, and screen readers heard nothing either. That tooltip text now reaches the page correctly.
- Mod approval emails now respect your email settings, so turning off server status emails actually stops them. If several of your mods get approved close together, you'll get one combined email instead of a flood of separate ones.
- Approving a mod request can no longer install a mod version that's since been replaced. It now follows through to the latest approved version, or skips with a reason if there isn't one.
UploadsFixes: 1
- When an upload is refused, the file list row now keeps the file's name visible and shows the complete explanation on its own line, instead of squeezing both into unreadable text.
Wake & PlayFixes: 1
- Our automatic cleanup for idle Wake & Play servers now double-checks that a player isn't still connected before shutting a server down, so you won't get kicked mid-session.
World managementFixes: 1
- Resetting your world no longer risks losing your server's settings, player lists, bans, or your mod files. Factorio also now properly generates a fresh world after a reset.
World settingsFixes: 1
- Clicking "Use my world's settings" used to leave behind old notes telling you to set values by hand that it had just set for you. Those notes now update or disappear along with the setting.
World uploadsFixes: 3
- Some valid world uploads were wrongly flagged as damaged because of a missing empty log file that never actually mattered. That check no longer blocks those uploads.
- Previously, if a settings update during a world upload failed, the upload could still be reported as successful, leaving your server on an old or blank world. Settings changes now retry and only report success once they've truly taken effect.
- World uploads zipped on Windows with accented or non-English file names used to show up as garbled text and could fail to match your world. Those names now come through correctly.
World UploadsFixes: 2
- When a world upload had a lot of backup copies alongside the live save, the system could mistake an old backup for your current world. Uploads now keep looking past the backups to find and import your live world.
- When an upload had a lot of worlds or backups to list, the explanation could be truncated partway through. These messages now shorten gracefully so you always see the full reason and advice.
