New featureNew server console rolls out to every Haptic account
The redesigned server console is now live for all accounts, with fixes for CS2, Rust and DayZ reliability, a new DayZ Admins tab, Valheim save warnings, and smarter memory upgrade prompts across the dashboard.
New server console is here for everyone
Every account now has the redesigned Console card, including a short video on the game page showing how it works. The old console view has been retired.
Better than before
FiveM and RedM owners can view their own credentials
Server owners can now see their own tokens, keys and database strings in Files and over SFTP, instead of everything being hidden by default.
DayZ
manage whitelist, bans and admins from the dashboard: DayZ server owners now get an Admins tab to manage their whitelist and ban list. If VPPAdminTools is running, its super admins are managed from the same tab, and server names with quotes in them now save and edit correctly.
Mods card and server flag mods that can't load or need a restart
The Mods card now tells you when a mod's author removed it, stopped updating it, or its newest version can't run on your server, including when a fix isn't likely to come. Servers also show a notice when players can't download a mod, or when a Steam Workshop update is waiting for a restart, with a one-click restart option.
Mods now bring their required dependencies along
Rust, Satisfactory and Minecraft mods that need other mods to work now pull those dependencies in automatically, and the server tells you clearly when a mod didn't load and why. Several Satisfactory and other mods that were wrongly flagged as removed by their authors are fixed.
Icarus gets a bigger free memory boost
Icarus servers now get up to 4GB of extra free memory instead of 2GB, so busier worlds and more players don't run out of memory mid-session.
DayZ mod items and vehicles now spawn without editing XML
DayZ mods that add items or vehicles (like vehicle packs) now spawn into the world automatically at server start, no manual types.xml or spawn event editing needed.
14 more improvements
- Valheim warns you before a save might lose player gear: Powering down, restarting, or stopping a Valheim server while players are still online now opens a confirm dialog first, since only logging out or an autosave saves a player's character. Confirm anyway or ask players to log out from the game menu to be safe.
- See when your server needs more memory, right where you're working: If your server is low on memory, you'll now see an upgrade option right where it matters: in the Mods tab when a mod is blocked, in the Add Server panel, and in the crossplay dialog. Your server page also gets a new Memory tab with a history chart and a one-click upgrade button, plus a memory warning icon on the server card when there's a crash, shortage, or long boot.
- Smoother flow when a mod needs more memory, and a tidier Overview card: When installing a mod requires upgrading your memory first, choosing to upgrade and install now saves everything in one step. The Overview card also opens straight to the Memory tab when your server needs attention, and the collapsed view now fits neatly in every state.
- FiveM and RedM consoles flag licensing and resource problems: The Console card now catches rejected license keys, resources that need a newer game build, and paid resources that couldn't be verified, each with a clear explanation.
- Your server address now shrinks to fit so the port always shows: On phones, long server addresses now shrink slightly so the full address, including the port, fits on screen before it scrolls.
- Garry's Mod gets a fresh look on its game page: Garry's Mod's hero image, tiles, and logo have been updated to full-colour scenes and the official app icon, replacing the old faded wordmark art.
- Support chat shows your message before attachments: When you send a message with a file or console snippet attached in support chat, your words now appear above the attachment instead of below it.
- See when your server is downloading a game update: The console and server card now show a clear status while your server is downloading a game update during boot, instead of just looking stuck.
- Collapsed console card now shows your live log and quick actions: When the console card is collapsed, you now see the newest log lines and command box right there, with suggestions floating above instead of pushing things around. Click Open console to jump into the full view when you need it.
- More games get tested console commands and quick actions: Counter-Strike 2, Rust, Core Keeper, Enshrouded and Dragonwilds now have tested console commands and quick actions like Who's online, Message everyone and Add a bot, right from your server console.
- Minecraft Java Game Rules show your world's real settings: Game Rules on your Minecraft Java server now reflect the actual values from your world, and changes made in-game take priority over the panel.
- Bedrock game rules now match Java's richer set: Minecraft Bedrock servers gained nine more game rules (fire spread, TNT, sleep requirements, day/night cycle, weather, regeneration, death messages, PvP and phantoms), and changes you make in game are kept and reflected on your server page.
- Minecraft Java now applies every game rule you set: Beyond the standard game rules shown on your server page, any other rule you set is now applied on start, and rules changed in game are respected too.
- Garry's Mod servers can now sleep and wake on demand: Pick the cheaper Garry's Mod plan and your server sleeps after about an hour with nobody on, then wakes right from your dashboard with the world exactly as you left it.
46 bugs squashed
Conan ExilesFixes: 1
- When a mod's file can't be read by the game, Conan Exiles servers now name the mod so you know what to fix, and the message no longer appears alongside confusing crash advice.
Counter-Strike 2Fixes: 2
- Large console replies, like long cvar lists or map lists, used to break the console and make every command after them fail until a restart. The console now accepts much bigger replies and recovers cleanly if one ever comes back corrupted.
- RCON and join passwords used to slip into the Counter-Strike 2 console whenever certain commands or lookups ran, which meant they could end up in logs or support attachments. Those passwords are now refused and hidden everywhere the console shows them.
DayZFixes: 6
- DayZ mods that rely on another framework (even when the author only listed it indirectly) now correctly pull in what they need, so servers using mods like Code Lock Vanilla Doors or NLZ Sandstorms boot and work as expected.
- serverDZ.cfg edits that use DayZ's own way of escaping quotes are now read correctly, so valid config changes stop being refused.
- When a mod needs another framework mod that isn't loaded, the crash message now tells you which one is missing instead of just showing an exit code.
- The first time your server's roster syncs to the new Admins tab, existing whitelist and ban entries are now kept alongside new ones, so you can't accidentally lock yourself or others out.
- Modded DayZ servers were showing wrong Workshop IDs to players, which kicked everyone for "missing a mod." Mods now advertise their real Workshop identity so players can join, and the in-game mod economy loads correctly alongside the fix.
- DayZ's console used to say it was ready before the game world had actually finished loading, so a command typed too early got no response. It now waits for the server to truly be able to answer before opening the command box.
FiveMFixes: 3
- Files with hidden credentials now report the correct size over SFTP, so tools like rclone or sshfs no longer reject, truncate or pad them.
- Credentials in any .cfg file, comments, and the imported server.cfg copy are now masked everywhere files are viewed, downloaded, zipped or edited over SFTP, closing gaps where they used to slip through in clear text.
- Fixed a setup problem that stopped QBCore and ESX permission levels from being created, which could make admin grants silently fail to apply.
Garry's ModFixes: 6
- The Admins tab and console help now correctly explain that SAM, sAdmin and ServerGuard keep their own in-game ranks, with only ULX syncing to Haptic. Upload guidance now tells you to upload your save files and data folder instead of your whole client folder.
- Your custom map rotation now applies right from server boot instead of kicking in only after the first map change.
- If you try to change to a map that doesn't exist from the console, the server now stays on its current map and tells you clearly instead of leaving you guessing.
- Garry's Mod servers using ULib and ULX now get their admin groups set up correctly from the very first boot, instead of needing a restart.
- If you removed a Workshop mod and later added it back, the server now downloads it fresh instead of assuming it was already installed and silently failing to load.
- Player names no longer show stray formatting characters, and players are tracked by their stable Steam ID so names, history and avatars stay consistent across sessions.
MinecraftFixes: 1
- Paper and Spigot server consoles weren't labeling joins, leaves, chat, deaths or saves, so those chips stayed at zero and player names didn't open their player sheet. That's fixed.
Minecraft BedrockFixes: 2
- Some Bedrock add-ons ship as separate behavior and resource pack files, or extra model packs. Haptic now bundles all the matching files together so your add-on installs complete instead of missing textures, models or behaviors.
- If you installed a Bedrock add-on before Haptic bundled all its required files, we now automatically find and add the missing pieces so your add-ons work as intended.
PalworldFixes: 1
- Palworld's Broadcast command now sends your whole message including spaces and accents, Astroneer's role command is shorter, Don't Starve Together's help no longer shows a confusing loop, and Garry's Mod's ban command help now fits properly.
Project ZomboidFixes: 2
- Very large mods with tens of thousands of files now download successfully instead of stalling and restarting from scratch every time.
- If a save's files went missing, the server used to start a brand new world instead of restoring your last good backup, costing players their progress. It now restores properly so your world and characters come back as expected.
RustFixes: 2
- When a Rust request fails because a required plugin wasn't installed, the message now tells you exactly which plugin to add instead of a generic error.
- Rust, Terraria and Conan Exiles now reliably flag mods the game itself refused to load, Conan names the unreadable mod file, and Terraria's dependency messages tell you what actually happened instead of confusing instructions.
TerrariaFixes: 1
- Cataclysm Mod needs Clamity Music Mod to work, and it wasn't reliably making it to your server. Both now load together so Cataclysm stops getting turned off.
ValheimFixes: 1
- The in-game save notes used to suggest that stopping or restarting your server was harmless. They now correctly explain that only a player logging out or an autosave saves that player's character, so a stop or restart can still lose gear if someone's still online.
BackupsFixes: 1
- A backup that was cancelled partway through could still sometimes show up later as a restore point with only a single file in it. Those incomplete backups no longer appear in your restore list.
ConsoleFixes: 2
- The power-down and restart stop commands now work correctly no matter how you type them, including with or without a leading slash. If a stop command can't be sent, you'll see a clear message telling you to use the Power down or Restart buttons instead.
- The console's line count and timestamps no longer include Haptic's own entries, and a command that fails to send now stays selected in the box instead of getting mixed up with what you type next.
DashboardFixes: 4
- A server's failed-start message could get squeezed out of view by the player list on desktop. It now always has room to show, including which mod caused the problem.
- When a server crashes from running out of memory, the crash notice now correctly explains that the server ran out of memory and that adding more memory likely won't help if it's a one-off issue on our side.
- If your server crashed before you upgraded its memory, the Memory card used to describe the crash using your new, bigger limit. It now recognizes the upgrade happened afterward and shows a calm chart with no scary wording or button.
- The admins list on phones was wide enough to push delete buttons off the edge of the card. Player IDs now sit under the name and the table scrolls sideways when needed instead of clipping anything.
ModsFixes: 10
- A mod that was automatically retired for lack of recent use can now be requested again through Add a Mod instead of being wrongly refused.
- Mods that have been removed from the Steam Workshop by their authors are now detected and no longer offered or auto-installed as a dependency for other mods.
- Mod version updates no longer get stuck repeating the same mod over and over, and a new mod file is now always recognized as its own update instead of being mistaken for one already installed.
- If a mod version's test failed, asking for it again now re-runs the test instead of telling you it's already in progress and leaving it stuck.
- When a large Workshop mod can't finish downloading, you now get an accurate message about the failure instead of being told it will just start a fresh test.
- Mod downloads that hit a timeout now automatically fall back to a second download method instead of failing outright, so more Workshop mods install successfully the first time.
- Shared library mods were stuck on the version installed the day your server was created, even after a newer version was approved. They now update like any other mod.
- Fixed a bug where the 'restart when empty' option for mod updates could trigger a restart while players were still on the server.
- Mod files zipped on Windows sometimes failed to extract their scripts, breaking the mod. Those files now unpack correctly so the mod works as intended.
- A font loading issue made mod folder names on the Mods card display noticeably larger than intended on many first visits. They now render at the correct size.
PlayersFixes: 1
- The player management dialog no longer offers to view a profile for players who don't have one, like those on Mac.
