Refer a friend and earn account credit

• Your friend gets 25% off their first month of Haptic. The discount is applied automatically when they subscribe through your link.

• You earn account credit worth 25% of their first payment, meaning the amount they actually pay on their first bill. If they choose quarterly or yearly billing, that first payment is bigger, and so is your credit.

• Your credit is applied to your next bill automatically, including plan upgrades.

1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard and choose Account.

2. On the Your Haptic Plan tab, find the Share & Save section. On desktop it is the right-hand column; on smaller screens it sits below your plan details.

3. The Refer a Friend card shows your personal link, which looks like https://haptic.gg/ref/yourcode.

4. Click the link once. It is copied to your clipboard and the row briefly shows Referral link copied!

Share it anywhere you like: Discord, a group chat, a stream, a forum post. As the card's tooltip puts it, "Share your referral link with anyone you want."

When your friend opens the link, they land on our games list. They pick a game, choose a plan, and sign up like any new customer. Their 25% first-month discount is applied automatically at checkout; they do not need to enter a code.

A few details worth knowing:

• The referral is remembered in their browser for 30 days, so they do not have to sign up the moment they click. If more than 30 days pass, just send them the link again.

• The discount always equals 25% of one month of their plan. If they pick quarterly or yearly billing, that amount comes off their first bill.

• Discounts do not stack. If a bigger promotion happens to be running when they sign up, they automatically get whichever deal is best for them. You still earn your referral credit either way.

Your credit is granted after your friend's first payment goes through, not when they click the link or create an account.

Once that happens:

• The Refer a Friend card adds a Referred friends who joined list showing the friend's email and the credit you earned, like +$2.50.

• Your plan card at the top of the page shows an Account credit box with the amount that is ready to use. As its tooltip says, "This credit will be applied to your next bill, including plan upgrades."

You do not need to do anything to spend it. Your next renewal (or upgrade) simply charges less, and the credit line appears on that invoice. You can see the invoice itself through Manage Billing; see Billing, payments, and Stripe. Credit stays on your account until it is used.

• Referrals are for friends who are new to Haptic. If someone who already has a Haptic plan opens your link, it just takes them to their own dashboard; no discount is applied and no credit is earned.

• You cannot refer yourself. Opening your own link on your own account does nothing.

• You can earn credit for up to 10 friends. After ten converted referrals, the link keeps working for your friends' discount, but no further credit is added to your account.

• The referral card appears once you have a Haptic plan of your own.

If a friend signed up through your link and your credit has not appeared, message us in Discord or email support@haptic.gg. Include your referral link, roughly when your friend subscribed, and (if they are comfortable sharing it) the email they signed up with, and we will trace it for you.
