Your Conan Exiles world is one file, game_0.db, in your game's ConanSandbox\Saved folder. Close the game, power down your server, open the Backups card, click Upload World and drop in that file or your zipped Saved folder. We install it as your server's world, after saving the world that was there as a backup. Mods and settings do not come with a world: the server card names the mods your world used.
Steam: right-click Conan Exiles in your library, choose Manage, then Browse local files, and open ConanSandbox\Saved. That is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved.
A dedicated server: the server folder's ConanSandbox\Saved.
The file is game_0.db. If you last played before the Enhanced update of May 2026, it is game.db instead. Upload it as it is, and the server upgrades it on its first start.
The world file on its own: game_0.db or game.db.
Or the whole Saved folder, zipped. We take the world from it, keep your ban list and whitelist, and leave out settings files, logs, crash reports and the game's own automatic backups.
No game_0.db? If your Saved folder has only another save slot (game_1.db), an automatic backup (game_0_backup_3.db) or a world you renamed, we check that it is a Conan Exiles world and use it, and the server card says which file we used. A folder with more than one of them asks you to pick.
Close Conan Exiles or stop your old server first, so the world file holds your latest play. If you copied the folder while the game was running, upload it with the game_0.db-wal file beside game_0.db: we merge those recent changes into your world when we can, and the server card tells you if we could not.
If you download a running server's Saved folder with the Files card, we import its live world, not the older restore copy an earlier backup left beside it.
If game_0.db is 0 bytes, your Saved folder is probably in OneDrive and the file is kept only online. Right-click the Saved folder, choose Always keep on this device, then zip it again.
Power down your server. Upload World is disabled while the server is running.
Open the Backups card and click Upload World, next to New Backup.
Drop in game_0.db, or your zipped Saved folder (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, or TAR.GZ), and confirm with Upload and replace world.
When the import finishes, power up. Your previous world is in the Backups list as Backup before world upload, so you can restore it any time.

Isle of Siptah worlds and mod maps from the old game can't be loaded by Conan Exiles Enhanced, so the upload refuses them and says so. See Both maps on one server.
Mods. Mods do not come with a world. The server card names the mods your world used: add Workshop mods on the Mods card, and put your own .pak files in the conan-mods folder with the Files card, before you start the server. Otherwise modded items and buildings can disappear. See Workshop mods.
Settings. Your server keeps its own settings. They are on its Overview card: the server name and password on the Basic tab, and the admin password and game settings on the Details tab.
The red block on your server card says what the file held instead of a world: only the journal files, the game's install folder, settings or mods without a world, an old Siptah or mod-map world, or another game's database. Upload game_0.db or the zipped Saved folder instead. A refused upload changes nothing on your server.
