Project Zomboid: Console Commands

Open your server in My Servers, type in the Console card's command box and press Enter. Your server must be online. Swap the made-up names, numbers and messages in the examples for your own. To stop or restart, use the Power buttons.

players lists who is online.

stats performance all shows speed and memory numbers. stats version shows the game version.

showoptions lists every server option and its value.

servermsg sends a message to everyone online.

save saves the world right away. The Console answers World saved.

reloadoptions reloads your server options.

changeoption changes one option while the server runs.

setTimeSpeed changes how fast game time runs. 1 is normal.

adduser creates a login with a password.

setpassword changes a player's password.

setaccesslevel sets what a player can do: admin, moderator, gm, observer, priority or user. Use user to take rights away.

grantadmin makes a player an admin.

removeuserfromwhitelist deletes a player's login.

addsteamid and removesteamid allow or stop allowing one Steam ID.

banuser bans a player by name, online or not. Add -r and a reason. unbanuser lifts it.

kickuser removes a player from the server. Add -r and a reason. The player must be online.

voiceban mutes a player's voice chat: -true mutes, -false unmutes. The player must be online.

Each of these needs the player online.

additem gives a player an item and a count.

addkey gives a player a key.

addvehicle spawns a vehicle next to a player.

addxp gives a player skill XP.

teleport moves a player to another player.

teleportto moves a player to coordinates.

godmodplayer makes a player invincible: -true or -false.

invisibleplayer hides a player from zombies: -true or -false.

noclip lets a player walk through walls: -true or -false.

startrain starts rain. Add a strength from 1 to 100. stoprain stops it.

startstorm starts a thunderstorm. Add how many game hours it lasts. stopweather clears all weather.

chopper sends a helicopter over a random player. gunshot fires a gunshot near one. A player must be online.

lightning and thunder strike or rumble near a player. The player must be online.

createhorde spawns a horde near a player. The player must be online.

checkModsNeedUpdate checks whether any mod has an update.

reloadlua reloads one Lua file without a restart.
