Your Factorio save is one .zip file named after the save, in your Factorio saves folder. Power down your server, open the Backups card, click Upload World and drop that .zip in, as it is. We put it into the one folder Factorio needs, without changing anything inside it, and your current server world is backed up first.
Your Factorio save is one .zip file named after the save. In Factorio, Load game shows its name.
Windows: press Win+R and open %APPDATA%\Factorio\saves.
Mac: open ~/Library/Application Support/factorio/saves.
Linux and Steam Deck: open ~/.factorio/saves.
If you run Factorio from a folder you unzipped yourself, the saves folder is inside that folder.
Power down your server. Upload World is disabled while the server is running.
Open the Backups card and click Upload World.
Drop in the save's .zip and confirm with Upload and replace world.
Before you start the server, read the notes below, then press Start.

Upload the .zip as it is. If you unzipped it and zipped it again, zipped it twice, or zipped your whole saves folder, upload it anyway: we find the save and put it back into the one folder Factorio needs. Several saves of the same world, such as a save and its autosaves, load the newest, and a note says which. Saves of different worlds are listed so you can pick one.
Space Age: if the save was made with Space Age, turn on Space Age DLC on the Overview card's Details tab, because the server does not start a Space Age world without it. The upload's note tells you.
A newer Factorio: if the save comes from a newer Factorio than your server last ran, the next start runs the newest release of your server's branch, and Haptic picks up a new release within about an hour. If that version is an experimental release, turn on Experimental Branch on the same tab first.
Mods: if your save uses mods, add each one on the Mods card in a release made for your server's Factorio version.
Your upload has no save: the message says what it is instead, such as a mod, a scenario, the Factorio game folder or settings files, and where your saves are. Mods go on the Mods card, and your server's settings are on its Overview card.
A save from before Factorio 1.0: Factorio 2.0 and newer cannot load it. Open it in Factorio 1.1 (on Steam: Properties, then Betas), save it there, and upload that new save.
Damaged or incomplete: copy the save again from your saves folder with Factorio closed, and upload that copy. A file whose name ends in .tmp.zip is a save Factorio was still writing: use the save without .tmp in its name. If you copy over FTP, use binary transfers.
A save with a password: Factorio cannot load it. Upload the .zip exactly as Factorio wrote it.
A refused upload changes nothing on your server.
Use Download Backup on the Backups card, take saves/save.zip out of it, rename it, and put it in your saves folder. See Download your world.
